minimalist posters (part 5)

Aren't you excited? I'm finally getting around to posting some more of these. Now we're at the fun category of Animated films. Yes, some of these posters naturally belong in several categories, but I chose the ones I did for a reason. These are all blue too!

The clock with no numbers serves the purpose of the ambiguity of Wonderland and showing the main symbols. I love it.

This is beautiful, like the film, but simply shows Toothless as a dragon, with none of the personality, which is a good idea so you'll be surprised.

Simple like the concept of the movie. It doesn't focus on the music, but on the magic, which is what the music is anyway.

And now...Miyazaki. Nothing left to say, except that I love the watercolor style for the sky.

Perfection. There are so many things that Spirited Away can be recognized by, but this is perfect.

I hope you like these as much as I do. Have you seen them all? Which was your favorite? By the way, the background for the Alice one is the color that I want the bottom half of my hair to be when I grow it out.

One more post of random ones, then Nolan films is the schedule.

minimalist posters (part 4)

If the previous set of posters were "girlie", I guess these would be "boyish", but no boy or action flick lover would be happy with that title! I just like things to match and be all lined up. Unofficially, these are the action flicks and one all-around beloved comedy.

Like the colors. All the characters, but still retains that simplicity.

This was a good movie and I like what they did with the poster.

I watched this opening night at a party. It was a little more violent and gory than I was used to, but Han Solo and James Bond! Sooooo....

I can't waaaiit!

So hilarious! I've heard this quoted my whole life.

minimalist posters (part 3)

Part 3 consists of "girlie" movies. Two of (500) Days of Summer, which I have not see, but want to, because it has Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and two Audrey Hepburn movies. Roman Holiday is the only one of these that I have seen. The color scheme is amazing and unintentional. Almost everything in 500DoS is blue, in order to highlight Zooey Deschanel's eyes, the director said.

*sigh* So darn cute.

Okaaayy, I'll do a real post next! I think I have 7 parts in all...

minimalist posters (part 2)

Here's part 2! These are the posters from musicals.

Aren't those fun? I saw that last one, then was like, "hmm.....OH! It's an umbrella!"

Favorites?

PS I love movies.

minimalist posters (part 1)

I have recently discovered my love for minimalist posters. I love them! Some, naturally, are better than others, but the best convey the idea of the story, the main motifs, and the most important symbols in a simple manner.

I'm going to start off with posters for Lucas and Spielburg films.

Which is your favorite? Yeah, I'm asking you, James!
I'll be back with part 2 after a word from our sponsers...

Just kidding! I'll be around. ~billyBobbieJoey
