Sometimes I get so drained that I feel like just a shell. At least I'm supposed to be eating a ton, so I'm not guilty about the giant snack and Tropical Smoothie Cafe...
Things get so often described as being like the "eye of the storm", but I'm here telling you that I'm at the stormiest part, but where you can see the sun peeking out in the distance. I just have to press through to that point. I keep realizing that it will get worse, then it will get better. I'm not grumbling, just thinking and reminding myself.
It's like I know what to do, just won't bring myself to do it. It's dumb.
Well, enough of that. This is my 75th post! *rejoicing*

minimalist posters (part 3)
Part 3 consists of "girlie" movies. Two of (500) Days of Summer, which I have not see, but want to, because it has Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and two Audrey Hepburn movies. Roman Holiday is the only one of these that I have seen. The color scheme is amazing and unintentional. Almost everything in 500DoS is blue, in order to highlight Zooey Deschanel's eyes, the director said.
*sigh* So darn cute.
~bBj
Okaaayy, I'll do a real post next! I think I have 7 parts in all...

minimalist posters (part 2)
Here's part 2! These are the posters from musicals.
Aren't those fun? I saw that last one, then was like, "hmm.....OH! It's an umbrella!"
Favorites?
~bBj
PS I love movies.

we love you, Conrad!
Oh yes, we do! I just got back from the opening night of Bye Bye Birdie, which was fantomigorical!
I'm exhausted. I'm happy. I can't wait to perform it again and again. I'll be back next year if at all possible!
My mind is full of choreo, leather jackets, pineapples, quick changes, and laughter. You ought to be jealous.
Happy Star Wars Day! May the Fourth be with you, but watch out for tomorrow. It's the Revenge of the Fifth!
~Deborah Sue
PS Avengers assemble! There was no way that I could make it last night, so I'll go see it next weekend. If you spoil it for me, you die... a long, slow, deathly death.

eleven
Here are the rules to the "11" tag that I'm sure you've seen around:
1. Post these rules. check.
2. Post eleven random things about yourself.
3. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post.
4. Create eleven new questions for the people you tag to answer.
5. Go to their blog and tell them that you tagged them.
6. No cop-outs in the tagging section, like, "if you are reading this" or "if you follow me". You have to legitemately tag them!

Here we go!
1. I started making a chibi doll a year ago and still haven't finished it.
2. I think that Apple is extremely overrated.
3. I love, and have a box on my desk of, oldfashioned stick candy.
4. I have merchandice from a web comic that I don't even read.
5. I have three Coca-Cola t-shirts.
6. I can do this face: o_0
7. I don't care for cupcakes.
8. I went for a entire year without sweets/candy/dessert because I wanted to with only 5 exception days.
9. I read The Hunger Games in four days.
10. I like everything about bananas, but don't like eating them.
11. I ate almost a half gallon of ice cream with a friend when I spent the night. We would've had more, but that was all they had!
Okay now, here are the questions and answers that came from James and Jacob, who tagged me:
1. Favorite Video Game
I don't play videos games. I would like to, but we don't have a system, and I would waste a ton of time!
2. Favorite Live Action Fiction TV Series (not comedies)
I also don't really watch tv, but I love White Collar. We stopped keeping up a while ago though. :*(
3. Have you listened to an audiobook? What was your favorite? (I'm paraphrasing!)
Yes, I've heard Around the World in 80 Days and Wind in the Willows on tape, yes tape. They were both good, but that was a long time ago.
4. Do you believe in Bigfoot, UFOs, or ghosts?
I pretend like I do! There might be something to Bigfoot. I don't believe that there is intelligent life on other planets. I do pretend to believe in ghosts and love ghost stories!
5. Favorite baseball team or sports team. (y'all ask such "guy" questions!)
My favorite sports team is the US Olympic Team.
6. What is your opinion of the LOTR trilogy?
It's the bomb and absolutely epic.
7. What's the best movie that you have seen in theater?
I haven't seen many in theater, so probably Captain America.
8. Do you like or dislike the Star Wars prequels?
I like them. They're not as good as OT, but the TPM is what I grew up with. I don't hate Jar Jar either!
9. What movie quote do you use most often in normal conversation?
That's not an answerable question. I don't think most people would believe how often I reference movies. I would love for someone to count someday... if that were even possible
10. Do you like or dislike older movies in general? (before 1980)
Love 'em! I love the oldies!
11. Marval or DC?
I don't know. I haven't seen many superhero movies, but probably DC just for Batman!
Okie dokie. Here are my questions for you to answer! If I tag you! I feel such power.
1. What's your favorite soft drink?
2. Beach or mountains?
3. Do you randomly break into song out loud?
4. What could you eat forever and never get tired of?
5. Who would you like to get stuck in an elevator with for five hours?
6. What color socks are you wearing?
7. What are you most afraid of? Really terrified of?
8. Have you ever dissected a frog?
9. If you made up a number, what would it be?
10. What do you collect?
11. Do you have a pet?
I tag Sophia, Olivia, and Bre. Really, this is annoying, because most everyone has done this tag already. Oh well. Don't tell anyone, but you, yes you, can do this even if I didn't tag you!

Bye Bye Birdie
I know I have mentioned it, but in case you didn't know, I am taking part in a production of Bye Bye Birdie. It is with our homeschool group Cast N Crew, and I have done one play with them in the past. We did Annie the musical last sping, and I am proud to say that two of my sisters got large roles, and I got a bit part. Don't feel sorry for me, I didn't want a singing role.
Now, I can sing, but I was afraid that I would be scared to sing in front of people when the time came.
That was not the case at all. I realized that after the four months of rehearsing, I knew the songs, choreography, and lines backward and forward, so why be scared? The director kept telling everyone to smile and put a lot of energy into the songs, but she never had to tell me! I was absolutely beaming the whole time I was onstage. I couldn't figure out why everyone else was not, I mean, I was having the time of my life! Why in the world are they doing drama if they aren't having fun onstage? Golly. Also, you know all the people that you are performing with, and have spent a lot of time with them by that point. Everyone sees you mess up during rehearsals, so you get that out of your system.
So, I decided that I wanted a singing part in Bye Bye Birdie, which is a play set in the 1950s, one of my favorites time periods, about a rock star. It is a satire on teenage idolization of rock stars, like Elvis. Conrad Birdie, the rock star, is based loosely off of Elvis, and more so off of Conway Twitty, who was one of Elvis' biggest rivals in the early days of their carreers. Elvis was drafted to go into the army, and this play is about Conrad giving one last kiss goodbye to one of his biggest fans before he leaves. It's a publicity stunt that his manager, Albert, who is really the star of the show, comes up with.
The play is hilarious! I find most of the songs very sarcastic, which is fun to do, mostly because we can't act in a sarcastic way, but have to show the audience hwo wrong everything is. For example, one of Conrad Birdie's biggest numbers is called Honestly Sincere, which is grossly funny because he is totally fake!
After much description... I got the part of Debra Sue, who is one of Kim's best friends. Kim is the girl that is chosen to receive Birdie's last kiss. As I see parts of the script, I now know that I am in more scenes that I realized at first, which is pretty cool. We have only had two weeks of rehearsals, which means about four so far.
I'm having a lot of fun, and getting to know new people! Updates will be coming.
By the way, don't watch the movie! It is absolutely nothing like the play at all! Listen/watch parts on YouTube, and you'll see why I can't help but smile!

Life Recently
I keep feeling like I need a specific topic to write a blog post, but that's not true. So you get to read whatever I come up with!
First of all, I'm sick. I get a dumb cold every Dec. without fail. Maybe with a few exceptions. Anyway, I have to stay and bed and take medicines and all the stuff you're supposed to do to get well. It's so boring staying in your room all the time with no one to talk to.
I watched this a billion times last week:
I really like old movies, especially musicals! This was my first Sinatra film, so I watched it with a dear friend who I have known my whole life. Loving classic films is just one of the many things we have in common! The reason why I watched it a billion times was so I could learn and have ready every single quote and lyric, because that's how I live my life! And I do!
I also watched these:
Of course, this is classic. I personally like Robin Hood better, but this was great. Face it, every heroic, male role is based off of Errol Flynn. It's the bare truth! Princess Bride, with Wesley, was just a tip of the hat! I was surprised at how well this could stand up against other movies that were made recently, not that I'm a great judge, in the fact that a lot of it takes place on the sea! I mean, in some old movies, *shudder* you can totally tell that it's a backdrop and that they aren't really in water in stuff.
I really liked this one! Fun, and cute! The acting was great, and the plot was not too typical, which, if you can tell, is something that I usually don't like.
This one didn't really deliver for me. I liked it, but thought it could have been a lot better. As of now, I can't remember why exactly I thought that, so I'm not much help. Hathaway and Streep were both amazing though! I would maybe watch it again.
I was so surprised at this one. I was so sure that I would like it less that The Devil Wears Prada, but I didn't. I was expecting it to be cute, but typical. It was amazing. The film techniques were fun and kept you interested. The actors were all good, and the romance was not the main theme. It dealt with a lot of topics, and did them justice. I would definitely recommend it! Oh, and a plus, Chris Evans!
I was in the mood for some oldies and chick flicks! This is such a movie blog. Oh well. I'll talk about something else now.
Christmas is coming up, which is exciting! For some reason, I got into the "spirit" really early this year, and now I'm not even that happy. Anyway, I finished my shopping today! Have you? I still need to finish making some of the gifts that will go to friends though.
So, I'm glad that school is out, but I don't know what to do with my time now! Yes, I'm a nerd, and like doing homework, I confess. Being sick obviously makes one not feel like doing anything, so that's part of it, but it sure makes life boring. As you can tell, I've recently watched a lot of movies, but that's about all I've done. I'm going to do some really interesting things, then post about them! That is my challenge to myself for the rest of the year!
This is a schwall for Holt5!
