explosions and sir cat

I got tolded to post more. So I am. Going to, that is. I went to see The Hobbit at the midnight showing! I had a slightly enjoyable time, but the movie was awesome. I won't let my surroundings shape my mood. The night after that I went to a Christmas party, which was fun. Today I went to my first homeschool team basketball game! It was fun and they played well. I'm heading to another party tonight at the house of my dear sweet friend whom I have known forever. And I literally mean forever. Sunday, we have a wedding shower and another party at my house. It is insane. But fun. *sigh* the holidays.

So, that's that, but I am ignoring that fact so I can wake up and work out. I've gained enough fat-weight so that I can start trying to get some strength, stamina, and muscle. I'm gonna work with my parents personal trainer, who is soon to be mine. I'm pretty pumped, then booom...

...I will be gorgeous! JK, but I will be able to run upstairs without losing my breath.

This cat is my inspiration. I will the lady-version of this Sir Cat. Isn't he boss? I'm in love.
This made me laugh out loud! My dad isn't bad about this, but significant looks often get passed around because I love my friends who are dudes and talk about them.

Should I grow my hair out? It won't take long because it grows mega fast. Thoughts?

There, that wasn't too bad. I put together a post in a short amount of time. I'm so good!

Love y'all, billyBobjoe Fred

PS Fred? Why'd ya call me Fred? I don't know.

the end of the world

You guys! I'm embarrassed. I haven't posted in forever, yet y'all have pushed me over the 10k views mark!

NaNo, you ask? Yeah, that didn't happen. It wasn't that I was too busy even. My muse didn't show up to work and left me with no inspiration or ideas. I like the idea of my story, but fantasy is much too deep for my writing skills as of now.

Speaking of writing skills, I got my PSAT scores back. I was super worried, feeling that I had done better than last year, but still not good enough. Without saying numbers, I did really well. It was all God. I won't know if I am a National Merit Semi-Finalist until September, so until then I guess I'll just work on my ACT prep. Gosh, so much college prep. I literally asked my mother whether everyone is this young when dealing with all this junk. I don't feel old enough to need to care, but I really do feel the importance of my grades and scholarships and such.

I have gained weight and grown half an inch in the last 5 weeks, so that's encouraging. I'm strong enough that I'm going to work next semester and be in the Spring musical with Cast N Crew! I'm so glad.

So, we have 9 days 'til the end of the world. What are you going to do? I personally don't think that anything out of the usual will occur on that "fateful" day, as evidenced by all the importance I was giving the things I wrote about up ^ there. I'm going to continue to buy Christmas presents and look forward to the day when my big sister returns from India, with more than the usual amount of crazy dancing, just in case.

I've never been afraid of the end of the world or death. Because I am a Christ-follower, I believe in His promise of Heaven and the Revelation of the End found in Scripture. I have nothing of which to worry.

I'm just glad that The Hobbit is coming out first.

See you on the other side,
bBj

[cool post title]

I can't decide whether or not there are enough hours in the day. Most likely, I just don't use time very wisely, as evidenced by the fact that I haven't posted a real post in forever. Anyway, I'm pretty well kept busy with homework, rehearsals, and work. I'm so sick of Comm. that I've worked my tail end off trying to get everything done with time to spare. In face, I'm about to head to the library to finish up this week's work.

I just finished reading A Tale of Two Cities, and liked it very much. That is, I liked how it ended, but not how long it took to get there! I'm also reading The Pilgrim's Regress by C. S. Lewis, which is good, but I'm afraid that 1/4 of it is going over my head, and 1984 by Orwell, which I also am greatly enjoying. That and The Giver both go to show you that Dystopian is not a new genre.

Why is it that I wake up ready to tackle the day on those days, few and far between, when I have absolutely no homework? My internal clock is in the Lazy Time Zone...

I took the Fandom Quiz! The first one represents the results from the 20 question quiz. The second is the other! I don't know all of these fandoms, so those don't really mean anything to me, but I'm generally happy with it! If you know me IRL, which one do you think best describes me?

The ones that really matter to me are Hunger Games, LOTR, Star Wars, Narnia, and Star Trek! Notice how much evil-er I am in the first one!

I seem to have run out of inspiration. My posts are few and far between, and they are all very similar. I don't write this blog just for you my readers, but I do want to keep y'all happy! What do you want me to discuss/review/talk about/bring up? Lemme know and I'll get around to it! Promise!

-billyBobjoe the... I was about to list all of those things and races, but decided against it because, well, because you can just read them up there!

eleven

Here are the rules to the "11" tag that I'm sure you've seen around:

1. Post these rules. check.
2. Post eleven random things about yourself.
3. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post.
4. Create eleven new questions for the people you tag to answer.
5. Go to their blog and tell them that you tagged them.
6. No cop-outs in the tagging section, like, "if you are reading this" or "if you follow me". You have to legitemately tag them!

Here we go!
1. I started making a chibi doll a year ago and still haven't finished it.
2. I think that Apple is extremely overrated.
3. I love, and have a box on my desk of, oldfashioned stick candy.
4. I have merchandice from a web comic that I don't even read.
5. I have three Coca-Cola t-shirts.
6. I can do this face: o_0
7. I don't care for cupcakes.
8. I went for a entire year without sweets/candy/dessert because I wanted to with only 5 exception days.
9. I read The Hunger Games in four days.
10. I like everything about bananas, but don't like eating them.
11. I ate almost a half gallon of ice cream with a friend when I spent the night. We would've had more, but that was all they had!

Okay now, here are the questions and answers that came from James and Jacob, who tagged me:

1. Favorite Video Game
I don't play videos games. I would like to, but we don't have a system, and I would waste a ton of time!

2. Favorite Live Action Fiction TV Series (not comedies)
I also don't really watch tv, but I love White Collar. We stopped keeping up a while ago though. :*(

3. Have you listened to an audiobook? What was your favorite? (I'm paraphrasing!)
Yes, I've heard Around the World in 80 Days and Wind in the Willows on tape, yes tape. They were both good, but that was a long time ago.

4. Do you believe in Bigfoot, UFOs, or ghosts?
I pretend like I do! There might be something to Bigfoot. I don't believe that there is intelligent life on other planets. I do pretend to believe in ghosts and love ghost stories!

5. Favorite baseball team or sports team. (y'all ask such "guy" questions!)
My favorite sports team is the US Olympic Team.

6. What is your opinion of the LOTR trilogy?
It's the bomb and absolutely epic.

7. What's the best movie that you have seen in theater?
I haven't seen many in theater, so probably Captain America.

8. Do you like or dislike the Star Wars prequels?
I like them. They're not as good as OT, but the TPM is what I grew up with. I don't hate Jar Jar either!

9. What movie quote do you use most often in normal conversation?
That's not an answerable question. I don't think most people would believe how often I reference movies. I would love for someone to count someday... if that were even possible

10. Do you like or dislike older movies in general? (before 1980)
Love 'em! I love the oldies!

11. Marval or DC?
I don't know. I haven't seen many superhero movies, but probably DC just for Batman!

Okie dokie. Here are my questions for you to answer! If I tag you! I feel such power.

1. What's your favorite soft drink?
2. Beach or mountains?
3. Do you randomly break into song out loud?
4. What could you eat forever and never get tired of?
5. Who would you like to get stuck in an elevator with for five hours?
6. What color socks are you wearing?
7. What are you most afraid of? Really terrified of?
8. Have you ever dissected a frog?
9. If you made up a number, what would it be?
10. What do you collect?
11. Do you have a pet?

I tag Sophia, Olivia, and Bre. Really, this is annoying, because most everyone has done this tag already. Oh well. Don't tell anyone, but you, yes you, can do this even if I didn't tag you!

January 3, 2012

I'm a little late...

....to be cluttering your Dashboard up with 2012/New Year's Eve stuff, but I am anyway!

I am, for some reason, super excited about this year. 2004 and 2008 were good years for me, so I wishing on a comet that this one will be too!

I didn't make any resolutions, except to drink more water. I don't like water at all, and often get headaches from dehydration. Oh well, I'm working on it.

I have a bunch of things that I'm excited about too! Here are a few:

001. I freaked you out with the double zeros didn't I? you thought I had a hundred!

002. Turning 16

003. Finishing Sophomore year

004. Starting Junior year

005. Getting a job

006. Getting a driver's license (working on this one!)

007. Going to CA to finally visit my friend

008. The Dark Knight Rises

009. Star Wars in 3D (because I wasn't old enough to see them in theater)

010. The Hobbit Part 1: An Unexpected Journey

011. The Hunger Games (not totally sure because I haven't read the books)

012. The Avengers

013. White Collar Season 3

014. Being in Bye Bye Birdie

015. Learning to play guitar

016. Growing (it's a serious hope!)

017. Traveling

018. Being in a food fight (I think the best food fights are spontaneous, but I seriously am looking forward to it, whenever it may take place)

019. Dying my hair (only part of it)

020. Learning a new language

What do you think? These are only a few! What are you looking forward to?

-bBj

PS 021. Looking forward to the end of the world. Major sarcasm. :)

Awards

I have received these awards! Yeah, a long time ago, sorry 'bout that. Back to the celebrating: w00t w00t!

I am definitely a Lord of the Rings fan, even though my profile says nothing about it. In my family, LOTR is a massive deal. By massive, I mean BIG! Anyway, you are allowed to read The Hobbit at the age of 12 or so, but you have to hold a conference with every other member of the family who has read it after every chapter to make sure you understand everything and so they find out what you think about it. The rules have bent a little over time, but I did that mostly. After that, you do the same with Fellowship, Towers, and Return. You are not allowed to see the movies, or know anything about them, until you have read all of the books, and the whole family that has seen them already are together. It was a big challenge to find a time when everyone could be together when my turn came, especially since we got a little out of order, with Agent 38 finishing before Cadenza. (I absolutely NEVER can remember if that's the number for her!) Anyway, I do not have a favorite character in LOTR, but I love Gandalf, Aragorn, Gimli, and and all the Hobbits. I know, I know, that is a long list, but who's counting?
I don't know if any of my followers do not already have this award, or if they deserve it! I award it to you if you can do a real post, unlike this, on LOTR, and will! *giggles in an evil manner* I'll be watching, as always.

I have no idea what the Stylish Blogger award means, or what I am supposed to do with it, so... I'm just glad to have it! And I award it to Bre!

Thanks everyone for reading! I love blogging, and hope to continue for a while. Don't stop commenting! (That sounds better if you sing it to Don't Stop Believing!)

Formorrow,
bBj
