I made dinner tonight and played outside with the family and did geometry! I win!
I am rereading The Hunger Games to be sure of the differences between the movie and book! Oh, did I mention that I went to the midnight showing? Probably. I meant to post a great review titled "There are Games Afoot", but I never got around to it. I did, however, find a way to get that amazing pun in this post. I went with a bunch of friends, and had a ball, and consumed a lot of popcorn.
School is back on, that is, I'm out of spring break, but I knew that would happen. I should have some balance, but I go through these phases of hating school and loving it! Maybe I don't love it, but work with reckless abandon to get it done. Weird.
Bye Bye Birdie is rapidly approaching! I look forward to it with excitement and dread. I don't want it to end, but I guess everyone experiences post-performance depression. Rehearsals are the highlight of my week, because they are so stinking fun! What other place can you sing, dance, and goof off in front of a bunch of people at the same time? I mean, really!
I just finished reading Frankenstein! It was so good, but I feel the need to read something a bit lighter on the mind, but I can't until summer comes. Speaking of summer, I'm about to buy a plane ticket to CA! I'm probably also going to buy an iPod soon. I need to figure out whether to get an iPod and ereader, or a tablet. I finally decided to buy one the other day when I had a big disappointment, but tried to "be big" and go do homework, but when I started to turn my little, sad mp3 player on, it randomly spazzed and deleted every song off of itself. I was... annoyed. A lot.
I am loving pictures of fruit right now. I don't know why, but probably because it reminds me of Spring. Here are some of my favorites for your own personal inspiration!
I just bought a sweater from Anthropologie that was originally prices at $188 for $19.25. So yeah, that was cool. I also ironically bought a Hunger Games tshirt for more than that. Also at Anthropologie, I bought a 5 year journal! It askes a question for each day, you answer it, and can see how your answers have changed over the years. It's like a time capsule. I'll take some pictures of it for you.
I have some attic space in my room. I call it my Lair or Cubbie Hole, because it is three and a half feet tall, two and a half feet deep, and fifteen feet long. It is insulated and carpeted! I have officially run out of wall space in there to hang my new THG poster because of the SW, Inception, Narnia, and Coca-Cola posters! :)
Oh, and a shout-out to my two newest followers: Holt5 and A Song of Joy! Hi!
Bye! ~billyBobjoe, who is, in fact, a ghost. I have no idear where that came from!

the beginning of spring break
I keep starting posts, but by the time I get back to finish them, they're out of date! darn it! I promise to write a whole post in one day this time.
*loud cheering* It's FINALLY spring break! Spring itself is so welcome to me, but having no school at the same time is like super-mega-awesome-double-win-forever! I did important things like clean my room this morning, but vegged all afternoon. I watched Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer (don't laugh at me! It looked cute!), a Brian Regan stand up comedy show, and AFV! Oh, and ate. I ate food while doing so.
Lest you think that I get pleasure from folding clothes and putting objects away, that's not really what I mean by "Cleaning my Room" (with capital letters). I just bought a new organizational set of drawers on wheels at Target, so today I was consolidating things to make the best use of space in my room! Why that makes me so happy I'll never know. Just you wait, I'll go to college and have to room with a slob, it's in my future! But I do have practice from my little sister whom I share a room with.
I got some new clothes the other day! I finally got some overalls. I've been meaning to for forever, almost. I'm going to wear them out. I also got some shortalls, which are overalls with half of the pants missing, just to explain. I'm about to get saddle oxfords for Bye Bye Birdie, but also for me to have and wear in general. A few tshirts rounded out the new addition to my wardrobe.
I haven't been reading much lately. Not that I haven't wanted to, but I've just been too busy! I did just finish The Pilgrim's Regress by C.S. Lewis and 1984 by Orwell. Wow. They both blew my mind, but in totally different ways. As you can see on my sidebar, I'm behind on my 2012 challenge, but I'll catch up. Maybe when I go to California or Colorado... Yes I am! And I am pumped! I'll take a few pictures for ya! I'll probably take Pete and then have a post of all of his adventures. CO is for the family vacation, and CA is the destination of me and my big sister to visit some friends.
I think that there's nothing like working. My family members are laughing at me. What I meant, of course, was working somewhere for PAY! duh. It's so rewarding to work hard and put yourself into something, then to go to the bank. You know, God gave Adam work to do before the Curse. Work must be good for us, because it is not a result of sin. Most people don't think of that, or conveniently forget it, although, I will be the first to say that it's not always fun.
I wish my computer wouldn't be so slow. I really can't ever get online. *tear of sadness* I'm considering breaking down and getting a tablet. *looks away guiltily* I don't have anything particularly against them, but I ahvne't seen the need for one until now. But I don't really have a need; I could just buy a new computer. heh heh yeah! Just kidding, I can't! My computer works well enough for non-interweb related things, but I kind of like the internet, you know? Like, wouldn't want to live without it!! Okay, I'm fine. Well, I sure am not thinking of getting Apple, with all it's bling and... this just in! It can't really do anything? Oh, that.
I'm thinking more along the lines of a Kindle Fire. I need to do some research, because I would like an ereader, but one that was also a tablet so I could watch movies, update my blog, listen to music, and play games. Do you have a tablet? What do you think of it?
I'm off to feed Gandalf...my fish, and go eat dinner!
See ya in the movies, or on stage, whichever comes first!

[cool post title]
I can't decide whether or not there are enough hours in the day. Most likely, I just don't use time very wisely, as evidenced by the fact that I haven't posted a real post in forever. Anyway, I'm pretty well kept busy with homework, rehearsals, and work. I'm so sick of Comm. that I've worked my tail end off trying to get everything done with time to spare. In face, I'm about to head to the library to finish up this week's work.
I just finished reading A Tale of Two Cities, and liked it very much. That is, I liked how it ended, but not how long it took to get there! I'm also reading The Pilgrim's Regress by C. S. Lewis, which is good, but I'm afraid that 1/4 of it is going over my head, and 1984 by Orwell, which I also am greatly enjoying. That and The Giver both go to show you that Dystopian is not a new genre.
Why is it that I wake up ready to tackle the day on those days, few and far between, when I have absolutely no homework? My internal clock is in the Lazy Time Zone...
I took the Fandom Quiz! The first one represents the results from the 20 question quiz. The second is the other! I don't know all of these fandoms, so those don't really mean anything to me, but I'm generally happy with it! If you know me IRL, which one do you think best describes me?
The ones that really matter to me are Hunger Games, LOTR, Star Wars, Narnia, and Star Trek! Notice how much evil-er I am in the first one!
I seem to have run out of inspiration. My posts are few and far between, and they are all very similar. I don't write this blog just for you my readers, but I do want to keep y'all happy! What do you want me to discuss/review/talk about/bring up? Lemme know and I'll get around to it! Promise!
-billyBobjoe the... I was about to list all of those things and races, but decided against it because, well, because you can just read them up there!

eleven
Here are the rules to the "11" tag that I'm sure you've seen around:
1. Post these rules. check.
2. Post eleven random things about yourself.
3. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post.
4. Create eleven new questions for the people you tag to answer.
5. Go to their blog and tell them that you tagged them.
6. No cop-outs in the tagging section, like, "if you are reading this" or "if you follow me". You have to legitemately tag them!

Here we go!
1. I started making a chibi doll a year ago and still haven't finished it.
2. I think that Apple is extremely overrated.
3. I love, and have a box on my desk of, oldfashioned stick candy.
4. I have merchandice from a web comic that I don't even read.
5. I have three Coca-Cola t-shirts.
6. I can do this face: o_0
7. I don't care for cupcakes.
8. I went for a entire year without sweets/candy/dessert because I wanted to with only 5 exception days.
9. I read The Hunger Games in four days.
10. I like everything about bananas, but don't like eating them.
11. I ate almost a half gallon of ice cream with a friend when I spent the night. We would've had more, but that was all they had!
Okay now, here are the questions and answers that came from James and Jacob, who tagged me:
1. Favorite Video Game
I don't play videos games. I would like to, but we don't have a system, and I would waste a ton of time!
2. Favorite Live Action Fiction TV Series (not comedies)
I also don't really watch tv, but I love White Collar. We stopped keeping up a while ago though. :*(
3. Have you listened to an audiobook? What was your favorite? (I'm paraphrasing!)
Yes, I've heard Around the World in 80 Days and Wind in the Willows on tape, yes tape. They were both good, but that was a long time ago.
4. Do you believe in Bigfoot, UFOs, or ghosts?
I pretend like I do! There might be something to Bigfoot. I don't believe that there is intelligent life on other planets. I do pretend to believe in ghosts and love ghost stories!
5. Favorite baseball team or sports team. (y'all ask such "guy" questions!)
My favorite sports team is the US Olympic Team.
6. What is your opinion of the LOTR trilogy?
It's the bomb and absolutely epic.
7. What's the best movie that you have seen in theater?
I haven't seen many in theater, so probably Captain America.
8. Do you like or dislike the Star Wars prequels?
I like them. They're not as good as OT, but the TPM is what I grew up with. I don't hate Jar Jar either!
9. What movie quote do you use most often in normal conversation?
That's not an answerable question. I don't think most people would believe how often I reference movies. I would love for someone to count someday... if that were even possible
10. Do you like or dislike older movies in general? (before 1980)
Love 'em! I love the oldies!
11. Marval or DC?
I don't know. I haven't seen many superhero movies, but probably DC just for Batman!
Okie dokie. Here are my questions for you to answer! If I tag you! I feel such power.
1. What's your favorite soft drink?
2. Beach or mountains?
3. Do you randomly break into song out loud?
4. What could you eat forever and never get tired of?
5. Who would you like to get stuck in an elevator with for five hours?
6. What color socks are you wearing?
7. What are you most afraid of? Really terrified of?
8. Have you ever dissected a frog?
9. If you made up a number, what would it be?
10. What do you collect?
11. Do you have a pet?
I tag Sophia, Olivia, and Bre. Really, this is annoying, because most everyone has done this tag already. Oh well. Don't tell anyone, but you, yes you, can do this even if I didn't tag you!

day of jumping
Sorry it's been so long! Well, it's (was) leap day, hence the stupid post title, and I still haven't done anything spectacular. Yesterday is a different story. Yesterday I started a new job, babysitting each week, at 8 in the morning. Had to go to rehearsal at 1 'til 4 after that. Don't get me wrong, it was a great day, but I did come home with sore muscles!
Have you danced for three hours straight? It's a little tough. We had learned the choreography for two songs, but nobody really understood it. They needed polishing, and everyone needed a pep talk, which one of the girls, the one that plays Kim, gave willingly! She should be a football coach.
Anyway, I'm super excited about Bye Bye Birdie! To all IRL friends: You better come see me and scream for me when I take my bows!
I think I have senior-itis. Schools not too hard anymore, but takes forever! The weather is so nice that I don't wanna be anywhere but outside. I'm finally being accepted at Comm. Central and rehearsals. Maybe all of this seems disjointed, but I promise that it's all related! See? The weather's so nice that I don't wanna do school, and school's easier, which lets me focus on friendships and stuff. Whatever.
I watched the new Pride and Prejudice again! I watched it before I read the book, with a girl who didn't like it and pointed out its flaws. I read the book, then watched the 1995 version, with Colin Firth, and loved it! In my mind, that was the only real P&P. But the two are so different. I recently watched the 2005 version again, with a mind to like it, and enjoyed it very much. The whole film is just beautiful; I guess it's the cinematography. I still don't think that Keira Knightley can do Elizabeth justice, but I sure don't mind Matthew Macfadyen! I believe that I will always prefer the old one, because of its extra length and ability, for that reason, to delve deeper into the book, but might be watching the new one more frequently when I don't have 5 (or however many) hours.
So excited! I already have my ticket to the midnight showing!

snow day?
There was much anxiety about the impending ice and blizzard.
Do we have milk and eggs? everyone wondered. (Sarcasm. It rarely snows even in inch here, so when it does, there is much...preparation!)
I woke up this morning at 6:45 and immediately looked out the window. Snow falling. That was a good sign! I crawled back in bed, determined not to go to sleep until The Email was sent declaring the fate of all the students of Comm. Central. I finally got up, worried that I would be disappointed and not have a lunch made in time.
My mother came in and announced the Snow Day! I smiled cheerily, if a bit sleepily, and got back in bed. I slept 'til 8:30, something that I had not done on a Monday the whole school year.
I put on a abnormally cute outfit, which consisted of grey jeans, a red shirt, one of my dad's huge blue sweaters, and a pretty necklace. It was what I was going to wear to Comm, but I wouldn't have been able to stand not wearing it after so much thought had gone into it! Yes, I am strange, and go through little clothing phases like everyone else.
I even studied today. Aren't you proud of me? It felt like I was being handed 24 hours on a silver plate. I never get anything done on Mondays because classes don't count.
I sat around. I lounged around. I drank tea by the fire. I wore two pairs of socks. I read 3/4th of Many Waters by: Madeline L'Engle and finished it.
The clouds got exausted after an inch and stopped. Stopped snowing, that is. They rained and sleeted and drizzled for a while longer. None of the snow stuck, but I wasn't planning on going outside anyway.
That's how snow days go in the South.

Woe is me!
...A gruesome story.
By: KeKeJ
Editing by: Your's truly
Well, we were chatting on teh interwebz the other day. I started getting hyper and saying really funny things, which were probably only funny to us at the time. For instance, I made up this number: Porpskillion. It's a big number. Anyway, she decided that she was going to die from the giggles, and told this haunting tale....
"I (this is her talking) might never get over the giggles, you never know. And it will be all your fault, and you will come cry over my grave, and you will die from depression, but with a repentant heart...
You will say, 'Oh, if only I had never made KeKeJ laugh so much, none of this would have happened. Where did my life go so wrong? I wish I could undo the past... oh woe is me. Alas for sueth! I am troubled!'"
(I jump in, seeing that she fell into a trap and called herself troubled) "You are troubled!"
continuing...'Oh, woe is me, woe is me.'
"What is this? I hear a young merry voice." (referring to my joke about being troubled)
"Child! beware! Never make your friends laugh! It will be their undoing!
"You will be lone and lorn, and brought lower than the grave itself!"
'Oh, woe is me!
"And then you will go moaning and weeping through the streets, and become the terror of the town, with your hair torn, gnashing your teeth, and wailing. And then, once you're dead, a legend will be created about your ghost. Thousands will claim to have felt the touch of your icy fingers, and to hear you weeping on their doorstep. Others will claim to have seen you on the river bank, staring into the tormenting depths...at war with yourself."
" 'oh, woe is me!' they will hear you say. 'Woe, woe, woe unto me.' "
"Old ladies will talk amongst themselves...
'Is not this the very girl whom we used to speak to on occasion, and whom we treated on an equal footing with ourselves? What has been her undoing? Where did her life go so wrong?'
Every Thursday night, at 2:17 am, you will be seen on the hill of my burial, wondering about, from grave to grave, but ever avoiding the sight of mine. Officers will try to catch you, but you are too nimble for them, even in your old age, darting about through the markers, weaving through the gloom until you make your escape.
None will no where you have gone. Folks will say you fled to France, but no reports have sprung from there. Only in (my city) do they remain, forever more. The story of you, wandering through the river banks, stumbling around the streets, scrambling about the town, wailing,'Beware the fate of me, the Great Undone.'
The End"
Isn't it sad?! I laughed for so long about this! I hope you can understand, as it did require a lot of editing! Please refer to me as the Great Undone and tell this story after I am dead. Thanks.

Thanks.

bBj's Words o' Wisdom
Think for a minute. You know that thing that you been wanting to do for a long time, like driving one of those old-lady-car-baskets in Walmart? Maybe it's a bucket list type thing, or maybe it's small. I did one of those on Monday! All of which reminds me: write out bucket list and post it! Where was I? Ah yes...
So, I was being driven home from Comm. Central. Madre was driving, and we had two of my friends and one of their little sisters in the backseat.
We were at a stop light with about six cars in front of us. A lot of construction was going on in the area.
Directly to our right were ten or so workers and a couple of supervisors digging a hole. I have no idea what for, because I know nothing about construction, but it was a big hole. I don't know, about ten feet deep?
Madre reminded me of the thing that I had been wanting to do for so long, and I tried to get the girls to do with me, but they chickened out.
I rolled the windows down and yelled "CAREFUL MISTER, THERE'S A HOLE THERE!!!" to the workers who were, in fact, digging the hole. I flashed the supervisor a thumbs-up, and when we drove off, they were still laughing!
Weird? Yes. Hilarious? Yes. *chuckles to self*
Would you do that? Let me know if you do!

my costume
So this was my costume for a movie themed party! Do ya like it?
The dress was a friend's, the gun was a friend's, and my sister did my hair! I'm so self-sufficient.
My messy room...and the costume! |
That's a weird face... but the real DL44! |
Isn't it gorgimous? Even when messy? |
So, yeah, I was Princess Leia! I won Best Star Wars Costume, which really isn't that pathetic. There were three Star Wars costumed people.
Are you gonna see TPM in 3D? I sure hope I am, but don't know when. I'm not a fan of 3D, but wasn't old enough to have experienced any SW in theaters, so this is a must.
~Leia
PS - I typed "Leila" before "Leia" both times. :) You know who you are!
