I will own a miniature pig. Not a baby one, that would grow up on me and leave the nest/get ugly, but a little one. I will name him Pilot. You know, so he can be a flying pig. *snickers*
Squeeee! So precious! If you didn't giggle or squee with cuteness overload, you are no human. Go find some robot friends...or Spock.
Live long and prosper, piggies!

explosions and sir cat
I got tolded to post more. So I am. Going to, that is. I went to see The Hobbit at the midnight showing! I had a slightly enjoyable time, but the movie was awesome. I won't let my surroundings shape my mood. The night after that I went to a Christmas party, which was fun. Today I went to my first homeschool team basketball game! It was fun and they played well. I'm heading to another party tonight at the house of my dear sweet friend whom I have known forever. And I literally mean forever. Sunday, we have a wedding shower and another party at my house. It is insane. But fun. *sigh* the holidays.
So, that's that, but I am ignoring that fact so I can wake up and work out. I've gained enough fat-weight so that I can start trying to get some strength, stamina, and muscle. I'm gonna work with my parents personal trainer, who is soon to be mine. I'm pretty pumped, then booom...
...I will be gorgeous! JK, but I will be able to run upstairs without losing my breath.
This cat is my inspiration. I will the lady-version of this Sir Cat. Isn't he boss? I'm in love.
This made me laugh out loud! My dad isn't bad about this, but significant looks often get passed around because I love my friends who are dudes and talk about them.
Should I grow my hair out? It won't take long because it grows mega fast. Thoughts?
There, that wasn't too bad. I put together a post in a short amount of time. I'm so good!
Love y'all, billyBobjoe Fred

the end of the world
You guys! I'm embarrassed. I haven't posted in forever, yet y'all have pushed me over the 10k views mark!
NaNo, you ask? Yeah, that didn't happen. It wasn't that I was too busy even. My muse didn't show up to work and left me with no inspiration or ideas. I like the idea of my story, but fantasy is much too deep for my writing skills as of now.
Speaking of writing skills, I got my PSAT scores back. I was super worried, feeling that I had done better than last year, but still not good enough. Without saying numbers, I did really well. It was all God. I won't know if I am a National Merit Semi-Finalist until September, so until then I guess I'll just work on my ACT prep. Gosh, so much college prep. I literally asked my mother whether everyone is this young when dealing with all this junk. I don't feel old enough to need to care, but I really do feel the importance of my grades and scholarships and such.
I have gained weight and grown half an inch in the last 5 weeks, so that's encouraging. I'm strong enough that I'm going to work next semester and be in the Spring musical with Cast N Crew! I'm so glad.
So, we have 9 days 'til the end of the world. What are you going to do? I personally don't think that anything out of the usual will occur on that "fateful" day, as evidenced by all the importance I was giving the things I wrote about up ^ there. I'm going to continue to buy Christmas presents and look forward to the day when my big sister returns from India, with more than the usual amount of crazy dancing, just in case.
I've never been afraid of the end of the world or death. Because I am a Christ-follower, I believe in His promise of Heaven and the Revelation of the End found in Scripture. I have nothing of which to worry.
I'm just glad that The Hobbit is coming out first.
See you on the other side,

Really? Am I nuts? Yes, I'm doing NaNoWriMo again this year. I try to tell myself that I won't aim for 50,000 words or that I don't care very much, but I know how competitive I am. I was originally going to just write every day, not actually shoot for a novel, but that wouldn't have ended well, and an idea happened to hit me, so I'm gonna run with it.
The gist is souls and their relationships to those that control them. If that is vague enough, then I have succeeded.
Anyway, I'm going to do that, while trying to get healthy and eat better and sleep more and complete my Jr year of school. HAHA! I have my inspiration, now only for a plot and some characters... Oh well, a bunch of you bloggers know how it is. I would apologize for my future absence from the blog, but I should probably start with apologizing for my past absence! I may or may not be around. Heck, maybe I'll be posting every day in order to procrastinate! It wouldn't be the first time.
If you feel led to send me encouraging messeges and notes this month, I wouldn't be offended.
Well, the Guilt Monkey is telling me to run! tah tah! ~billyBobjoe
PS My whole writing group promised to put one character named Billy Bob Joe in each of their novels! So fun!

minimalist posters (part 4)
If the previous set of posters were "girlie", I guess these would be "boyish", but no boy or action flick lover would be happy with that title! I just like things to match and be all lined up. Unofficially, these are the action flicks and one all-around beloved comedy.
-billyBobjoe
Like the colors. All the characters, but still retains that simplicity. |
This was a good movie and I like what they did with the poster. |
I watched this opening night at a party. It was a little more violent and gory than I was used to, but Han Solo and James Bond! Sooooo.... |
I can't waaaiit! |
So hilarious! I've heard this quoted my whole life. |

shells and tropics
Sometimes I get so drained that I feel like just a shell. At least I'm supposed to be eating a ton, so I'm not guilty about the giant snack and Tropical Smoothie Cafe...
Things get so often described as being like the "eye of the storm", but I'm here telling you that I'm at the stormiest part, but where you can see the sun peeking out in the distance. I just have to press through to that point. I keep realizing that it will get worse, then it will get better. I'm not grumbling, just thinking and reminding myself.
It's like I know what to do, just won't bring myself to do it. It's dumb.
Well, enough of that. This is my 75th post! *rejoicing*
listening: Oh! Darling by: The Beatles
reading: Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by: Stevenson. This is a re-read for school.

minimalist posters (part 3)
Part 3 consists of "girlie" movies. Two of (500) Days of Summer, which I have not see, but want to, because it has Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and two Audrey Hepburn movies. Roman Holiday is the only one of these that I have seen. The color scheme is amazing and unintentional. Almost everything in 500DoS is blue, in order to highlight Zooey Deschanel's eyes, the director said.
*sigh* So darn cute.
~bBj
Okaaayy, I'll do a real post next! I think I have 7 parts in all...

minimalist posters (part 1)
I have recently discovered my love for minimalist posters. I love them! Some, naturally, are better than others, but the best convey the idea of the story, the main motifs, and the most important symbols in a simple manner.
I'm going to start off with posters for Lucas and Spielburg films.
Which is your favorite? Yeah, I'm asking you, James!
I'll be back with part 2 after a word from our sponsers...
Just kidding! I'll be around. ~billyBobbieJoey

ink and a new shirt
So, I got some new clothes the other day. I needed some new jeans that would fit until I could gain weight and wear my old ones. I got some bootcut and skinnies. Don't worry, Dad, they aren't THAT skinny! I also got a red-plaid flannel shirt. You can't have too many of those! I also got a shortsleeved hoodie that you will see below. I love it and how unique it is.
Hey look! I took pictures of the stuff I drew on myself and here they are. A keyhole on my wrist and birds on the underside of my wrist.
I also wrote "Lions make you brave" on the inside of my left bicep, not that I have much of one and drew a moon on one foot and the sun on the other. It's from the song Lions! by Lights. Very encouraging to me. I just have felt so quirky lately. If hats weren't allowed at ye olde Comm. Central, I would have totally worn my bowler with that shirt this morning. People always ask about my "tattoos" when I draw on myself. I find it pretty funny actually! A lady in B&N in California asked if "it hurt". I was like "whaaat? Oh that? Totally. The pain was immense." Then I walked away like a boss. She must've known that I was kidding though.
Anywho, just felt like sharing that random bit of bBj! Here's to beautiful symbols like the moon and birds.

got humor?
I just wanted to share some things that have made me pee my pants recently...err..um...laugh. hard! :D
I can literally quote every single word of those. Me and Anna...you don't want to know. We may or may not have been falling out of our chairs laughing at the library while watching these. It's really none of your business. Oh! I also accidentally threw chocolate pudding onto her shoe at school today. It looked so nasty! I was laughing so hard that I couldn't clean it up!
Btw, I wanna do a vlog! Thoughts? Ask questions in the comments and I'll answer them in the vlog!
Scooby Doo.

a peaceful limbo
Hello, lovelies! It's good to be back.
So much is going on for me right now. I don't mean school so much, but STUFF! Junk. Emotional jazz and random weird things to deal with. For example, my big sister is in India. Yeah, you heard right. For six months, because she is being some MKs' nanny. It's a really cool opportunity, but I miss her.
That's not really why I took a break though. Apparently, I have grown in height along the average curve since I was 10, but I stopped gaining weight at 14 years old. I knew that my appetite had decreased, but I didn't realized until it was too late how awful my eating habits had become. I wasn't eating very much, which caused me to be sleepy all the time and not focusing well in school. Finally, I got too weak to go to work one morning, so my Mom set up a doc appointment. I was scared to death. I did NOT want to have to have blood work done...at all! I went on Monday, to discover that I do NOT have an early form of an eating disorder, but rather have just cemented some bad habits. My Doc literally told me to eat a ton of calories! On one side, that's great! Ice cream and soda, here I come! But when you don't feel like eating, and feel full almost as soon as you start stuffing your face, it doesn't seem so exciting. No kidding, you would not want to trade with me if you could.
Chemistry. Need I say more? It's killer, right?
I'm catching up on my reading finally! I just finished Life of Pi, which I originally didn't think they could turn into an action flick. I have sort of, since then, changed my mind! I need to complete The Book Thief, which is amazing. I am also in the last book of Calvin Miller's Singer Trilogy. It is beautiful. I highly recommend it.
You know how when you are listening to your iPod on shuffle or customizable radio station, and every song is a good memory, encouraging, or describes your feelings perfectly? *currently happening* I'm so happy! I hate to say this, but I haven't been very happy recently. One can only take so much crap from life, but once you hit that mark, it can only get better! See how weird and joyful I am? I can't help it. Even being depressed makes me happy!
I should probably get off my butt, wear clothes other than sweats, put on makeup, or take a shower. I should focus on my grades and get outside occasionally. ugh, that'll take so much time. See how my mind works? Not really, you say? I don't either. It's almost like I'm in some limbo between super joyful and depressed. You probably don't care. You are probably staring at your computer screen asking me in your head, "why are you ranting? Sure, a few things are bugging you! Why must you shove your problems in our faces?" to which I will respond, "It makes me feel better! Having someone who reads my junk is important to me. It makes me want to get my life together so someone will be proud of me!" Selfish? Maybe. Successful? True!
Okay, I'm done for now! Hope you were glad to hear from me!
Better post later with pictures and all the weird comments, fangirling, and metaphors that you have become accustomed to.
Peace out, bro! ~bBj

Adventures of Gnome part 2
Gnome went to Colorado with me and visited some awesome places. As in, awe inspiring places.
Gnome in Amarillo, Texas, where we spent the night on the road.
Gnome outside of the Craft Shack in Estes Park, CO. He's on a swing.
Gnome at Mills Lake. It was quite and hike, but the view was worth it!
Obviously at Four Corners!
Gnome at the Watchtower at the Grand Canyon. It was rainy.
I had an amazing time and made amazing memories and went to amazing places!
surprise!
So, remember how I had a ponytail of epic proportions? Also, how I didn't wear makeup ever? Whenever I tried to seriously put on makeup, mustashes appeared on my face. It was strange.
This was from the other night. Now....
Are you shocked?? Totally fab if I do say so myself. My hairdresser and the lady at Clinique were both great. I apologize that I'm so darn terrible at selfies!
I'm gonna go see The Dark Knight Rises again tonight, but nobody I've asked to come with me has been able to make it, so it'll be me and the sisters. That's still mega-fun!
School started yesterday, and the nice, cute boy that I wanted to be in my class wasn't. *tear* Oh well! Those are just so rare! Anyway, history and literature both start at 1850 and go through the present day! That means The Great Gatsby and the Roaring Twenties next semestre! I bes so happy!
Lemme know what you think!

The lovely Lauren is hosting a fantastic giveaway over at her place! I just wanted to let y'all know! She's giving away Finding Neverland: a great movie and fun accessories, one of which I believe she made herself! very cool. Head over there!
I have a mega surprise for my readers, but I need to get some good pictures. You should be looking forward to it!!

Oh look!
I have a blog! I totally forgot! Actually, I haven't forgotten, because it's been hanging over my shoulder like a raincloud-that-hangs-over-shoulders. Not that I don't want to post, but I didn't have anything to say. Now I do.
Take a look at-well, actually don't-at my stats on Goodreads! I am so behind in my reading challenge. I haven't sat down and read since a car ride! I should wake up on time occasionally so I can be productive, but I'm waiting for Fall to do that. Seriously, if I was just a llama, nothing would be this crazy.
Aren't the Olympics amazing? I love watching them. And I mean hey! They're in London.
School (CC) starts next Monday. I'm excited about doing it again, but don't want it to start now! The classes are going to be split up differently, and the people will all be different. I'm not afraid; I rarely am, but am apprehensive. I also need to finish geometry and prep for the PSAT and ACT.
I got a "real" job! I'm working at CFA, and so is my sister and best friend here in AR! My bro has been working there for a while. I'm super excited about having money again. I'm in debt with my parents, aaannnd kinda all of my siblings, soooo.

I can't do drama this semester. That is, scheduled, curricular drama. The other kind will be prevalent I can already tell.
This is probably my favorite painting, not that I really know much about art. It's the Nighthawks if you didn't know. I want a copy in my room someday.
Speaking of my bucket list, I have so many things on there that I planned for 2012! I saw a CO sunrise, wished on a dandelion, visited Four Corners, went to the Grand Canyon, rode in a double-decker bus, got a job, rode on a rollercoaster, finally visited my friend, rode a massive zipline, got my permit, watched The Avengers, bought a bunch of new books, bought new clothes, went to Disney, watched The Hunger Games, wished on a shooting star, and saw The Dark Knight Rises!
I randomly decided to count how many new movies I had seen this year from my movie list, and I had watched exactly 50! Weird. Now I've seen 51 or 52, but still. Isn't that an amazing mash-up of Batman and the villians? wow.
Well, I'm off to go do mega-important things. I'll probably just eat, but hey, that's important!
I'll try to stick around. Oh look! Krill!

road trip
And a long one at that. What follows are things that I recorded while riding through the desert.
The black deer in the orange landscape perpetually crossed the street as we watched the desert go by, on and on.
As the sun went around the world to provide bright tomorrows for the other side of the world, it bathed the dirt with silver. The trees were blue. The sky was a watercolour of great value. The fiery ball suspended in space mixed a gold and silver alloy out of the clouds. There are not names for the colours in the air. The song is right: mountains are purple majesties.
Prickly old men, stuck in the sand, reached toward the very thing sucking the watery blood out of them.
Do the stars look down and trace constellations in the trees?
I mean, not that there are trees in the desert, but it was a nice thought. The second refers to one of the most stunning sunsets I've seen in recent times.
Anyway, I just needed a little closure on the CA trip, before I go gallavanting to CO! For all you know, I could have still been there. I know, post more often. I hope too, but I've been super-mega=busy.
Also, I got my driver's permit today! I can now learn to drive! I also got bottom teeth braces on. My face really hurts... AND I have a job interview tomorrow morning. The first for a job in a "real" work environment. I'm going through all these rites of passage at the same time!
I'm growing up! Arghh! Stop it! jk, I love it.

Das animals
I had so much fun at the zoo! I saw animals that I didn't even know existed! A lot of these I wasn't zooming my camera in on. I actually was that close!
A giant jackrabbit |
The back of that guy's head is cool... |
This is Gao Gao, after which I named my panda stuffed animal! Who also reminds me of Jake. |
Python skeleton |
I was the animal for a long time, because 1) I couldn't see down because my legs were sore and 2) from animal charades in the pool. |
"Hello, ladies." |
Holy pumpkins! He was so precious! |
This dude was just roaming around, mowing the grass. I was that close! |
Weird. |
Albino Burmese Python is my favorite animal print ever! |
"I am so far above you!" |
